This project consists of the implementation of an application in Java language for the design of isolated installations based on the existing solar and wind resource at the site. In particular, it will give the option to configure three types of installations:
  1. Photovoltaic
  2. Wind power
  3. Mixed (photovoltaic and wind power)

The application can be downloaded from the website of the Andalusian Energy Agency. It will be an application made in Java language, deriving the data, both of the solar or wind resource and the parameters of the installation, from several tables (database). The application will be intuitive to use, and will contemplate two calculation paths defined by the data entered.
  1. Calculate and size the installation (number of panels and/or wind turbines, accumulators) based on the expected consumption.
  2. Check if an installation is properly dimensioned.

Data entry is done by masks (forms) composed of cells with predefined values, empty or eligible from lists. Where appropriate, graphical choices can be made, e.g. for the configuration of the plant.

The representation of results will be on screen and in a report in .pdf format.
