The MATRAS research group is part of the Department of Physics of the University of Jaén, the research being focussed on Energy and Meteorology. We are also part of the Task 36 Solar Resource Knowledge Management of the international Energy Agency (IEA). The MATRAS ongoing research project aims:

1. To evaluate the wind and solar energy resources in Andalusia (Spain). Particularly, the temporal and spatial complementarity.
2. To develop techniques to forecast the solar energy resources hours-days ahead.
3. To analyze the variability of solar and wind energy resources under climate change.
